Cast and Crew who are INVOLVED in the competition(refer to my previous post)
You guys are to report in school in your uniform for flag raising. At 7.45 when the morning assembly is finished, proceed to the AVA room. You have to change back to your uniform only IF you have any other activities after 2p.m. Cast, remember to bring your costumes(DUH) and crew, bring your long black pants and black shirt. If there are wordings on the black shirt, you are to wear it inside out.
Okay hey guys, if you are here, cast. I urged you to take out your script and go through with it with this post okay :)
Alright, the first page. For the first scene, all of you guys are supposed to be on stage already after the crew has set up the stage, you guys should be in your freezing position with the expressions of you impersonating the animal. I would be backstage giving Zeke the cue when you guys are ready.
As the curtains open, howl loudly and attack the bison furiously. Then, you would march in a circle as a tribe. People getting killed, do not come out too late. After that, you would have the MRT scene, Yao Zhu, do not remove your hood until you enter backstage. Cast, you have to be in pain when the explosion occurs. After that, there will be groups of you talking about races and TERROR TERROR TERROR. You guys have to do it really loudly with a stern face, you guys would have to stress your face to make it look stern. The BANG has to be impactful and loud too. For 911 building, Yao Zhu, please go backstage to get it from Iliya and not have Iliya pass it to u on stage. For the eating cows scene, project all the way too. When you guys are walking around during the drumbeats, do not cluster in one area! Move around and feel the space.
During the bully scene, feel like you are the bully, you have to be really mean and feel the character you are supposed to be in. Laugh out loud and don't hold back. Next is Alvin and Mr Chan scene. At backstage, Yao Zhu should be getting tied up already. Huda and group, "Bubble Tea" is the cue for you to start talking, at this point of time, Zeke should have turned on the spot light.
Tammy, you have to be fiercer for the last part of your killing scene and also more emotional, Yao Zhu would have to struggle more, Even if one of the ropes have been loosened, continue and struggle. The hand should be tied really tightly so please take note, Kevin. Lastly, we would have the scene about the pledge. Jasmine, remember about the line change.
After that, Cast would get on stage for curtain call.
The whole performance cannot pass 30 minutes. So the main point is that, all of you guys HAVE TO project all the way and put in 101% effort. If you depend on the others to project and cover up your slackness, it won't work. It just don't work. It's a group play, not a solo play. No matter what happens on stage, continue!
Think of your character and get into it! Mean what you say and don't read out your lines blindly.
We all have been working hard for the competition! So let's do our best and rock the stage. Scare the hell out of the audience with your howling and tribal scene. Scare me too. LOL. Hahaha. Okay. Lastly, enjoy yourself on stage! Have fun acting and remember to trust one another on stage okay! :D
We'll all do this together as one big family!
